About Biographic Information

This questionnaire collects information about you and how to contact you, such as your name, phone numbers, email address, and mailing address.

 

To safeguard your privacy, Application Manager will only ask for your Social Security Number the very first time you visit the Biographic Information Questionnaire, but never again after that. You will type your Social Security Number twice for verification, so the chances of your typing the wrong number a very low. However, if you have reason to believe your Social Security Number is wrong, you can update it by clicking Edit Profile on the Main page. Your Social Security Number will never appear in Application Manager. More details about Edit Profile.

 

This information is stored in your Application Manager Account Profile the first time you create an Application Package. Later, when you apply for other positions, information in your account profile will automatically fill out much of the Biographic Information Questionnaire for you. However, you should still visit this page each time to confirm that all information is still current and to see if there are any new questions to answer.

 

When you Submit your Answers later, any changes or new information you provide in the Biographic Information questionnaire will be used to update your Account Profile unless you designate otherwise.  More details about Submit Answers.

Application Manager has these rules for name and address fields:

The First Name and Last Name fields can have letters, apostrophe, and dash.

Address fields can have letters, numbers, #, dash, and / (forward slash).  Addresses cannot have periods.

Instructions for the Biographic Information Questionnaire

  1. Provide answers to the questions as needed, and verify that they are accurate.

  2. Click Next to move to the next step along the path, or click Save before taking any other action. Your work is saved when you click Next or Previous.

Instructions for Updating Biographic Information

To update information in a specific (past, present) application package:

  1. Log into your account at Application Manager: https://applicationmanager.gov.

  2. Open the application package you want to update (click on the Vacancy ID link).

  3. Click the “Update Biographic Information” button at the top of the page.

  4. Make any needed changes to your contact information and click “Save.”

  5. Repeat steps 2-4 for any other current application packages.

 

To update information for future (new) applications and your Application Manager account:

  1. Log into your account at Application Manager: https://applicationmanager.gov.

  2. Click the “Edit Profile” button on the Main page in the My Profile box.

  3. Make your changes and click Save.
